Wastewater

Treatment of water constituting the final effluent of a use or process.

  • Long-oxidation activated sludge purification plants;
  • Biological membrane systems MBR (Membrane bioreactor) with both external filtration (MBR side-stream) and submerged membrane (MBR) units;
  • Plants with suspended biomass biological treatments, adhesive and/or MBBR (Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor);
  • Ion exchange and/or adsorption plants specially designed for different applications such as the removal of particular pollutants originating, mainly, from industrial activities;
  • Plants of chemical clarification flocculation;
  • Photocatalysis plants and plants that exploit advanced catalytic oxidation technologies;
  • Treatment plants with natural Phyto depuration and evapotranspiration techniques for maximum environmental compatibility.

Treatment and recovery of sludge

Sludge treatment is the last phase of treatment and purification plants. The goal is to achieve the right compromise in their production, the maximum possible reuse and the best mineralization and stabilization through thermal or mechanical drying or hydrolysis processes.
